About this market

Context

This market will resolve to "Yes" if there are more Southwest border encounters in Mar 2024 compared to Feb 2024 (see https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/southwest-land-border-encounters). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." This market will resolve based on the first report of data for Mar 2024 compared with the Feb 2024 at the time of March's release, regardless of future revisions. The resolution source is https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/southwest-land-border-encounters.

How trading works

Resolution

Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.

What happens if the resolution source is unavailable?+
If the primary resolution source is unavailable, the market may be delayed or resolved by UMA oracle vote using credible alternative sources. Polymarket's optimistic oracle has final authority on disputed resolutions.
