About this market

Context

This market refers to the 2025 NHL Eastern Conference Playoffs First Round matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. If the Tampa Bay Lightning advance to the next round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, this market will resolve to “Lightning.” If the Florida Panthers advance to the next round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, this market will resolve to “Panthers.” If the series is canceled or postponed beyond May 20, 2025, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA.

How trading works

Resolution

Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.

What happens if the resolution source is unavailable?+
If the primary resolution source is unavailable, the market may be delayed or resolved by UMA oracle vote using credible alternative sources. Polymarket's optimistic oracle has final authority on disputed resolutions.
