This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump files a lawsuit against the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), or any of its subsidiaries, executives, or employees, by December 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The lawsuit must be directly related to the BBC’s coverage, reporting, or programming about Trump to qualify. An announcement of intent to sue or a legal threat will not qualify for a “Yes” resolution; a lawsuit must actually be filed in court. The primary resolution sources for this market will be official information from the relevant court. However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
Polymarket uses a central limit order book (CLOB) model — you can buy or sell shares of any outcome at the current market price, or place limit orders at your target price. All positions are settled in USDC when the market resolves.
Markets resolve through UMA's Optimistic Oracle. After the market closes, a proposer submits a resolution, followed by a 2-hour dispute window. If no dispute is raised, the resolution is accepted. Disputed markets go to UMA token holder vote.
